This past weekend I attended the Air Nautique National Wakeboard Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. It was a fun event with a great crowd watching the pros during the finals on Sunday. Everyone at the tournament had a wonderful time and the entire Nautique team is proud to be able to sponsor this premier industry event.

One of the many things I like about two of the major wakeboard events Nautique sponsors (Air Nautique Wake Games and Air Nautique National Championships) is their grass roots element. We love the pros but it is also exciting to see amateur wakeboarders and wakeskaters of all ages travel from around the world to live their dreams of ripping behind a Nautique.

It is also exciting to see so many families travelling together so that their kids can compete. At Nautique we are all about family and we believe there are few better ways to invest in family than spending time with them on a Nautique. I know it has worked with my family; this weekend in Wisconsin I spoke to several families who told me how the Nautique life it is working for their families too.

This year’s Air Nautique National Wakeboard Championships was one of the best ever. It was exciting to see countless people at the event demonstrating their Nautique pride with their Nautique t-shirts. The competition was also great and we were thrilled that Team Nautique athlete Jimmy LaRiche was able to continue his dominance on the water this past weekend.

If you missed this year’s event I hope you will plan to join us next summer for another great time.

With the conclusion of the Air Nautique National Wakeboard Championships, we now turn our attention to the Water Ski Nationals this week in West Palm Beach, Florida, my home town. Again this year our Ski Nautique will be pulling these Water Ski Championships in order to give the competitors their absolute greatest opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities. We look forward to hearing stories of how well the competitors do in this great event.
