How many companies can say that they have had someone working with them for 80 years?

At Correct Craft we can. We have a legend amongst us who shows up for work every day encouraging everyone he sees – his name is Ralph Meloon.

Ralph Meloon was 7 years old when his dad W.C. Meloon founded Correct Craft in 1925 and he started work soon after that.

Ralph has seen Correct Craft experience many different things over the years including working through the Great Depression, playing an important role in the US victory over Germany in WWII, working through bankruptcy in the 60’s and developing innovation after innovation which have improved the water sports industry.

Ralph has also played a key role in Correct Craft’s success and has travelled the world representing our company. Even today people show up at our factory, literally from all over the world, just say hi to “Mr. Ralph!”

While Ralph treats everyone like family, he does have quite a few of his actual family members working at Correct Craft. His son, Ken, is our Board Chairman and his grandson, Greg, is Correct Craft’s VP-Product Development. Other relatives working at Correct Craft include grandsons Eric and Thomas and great grandson Dusty. We are thrilled to have these Meloons working here and I know they are thrilled to still be working with Ralph.

Each day at Correct Craft Ralph shows up for work and walks through the plant offering an encouraging word to everyone he sees. If employees have sick children, marriage problems, or anything else that they are worried about, they can count on Ralph to be praying for them, which they certainly appreciate.

Nautique boat owners also love seeing Ralph; I would guess he has probably signed more boats than any person who has ever lived. At the Nautique events there are always a bunch of people waiting for a chance to meet Ralph Meloon.

All of us at Correct Craft work hard to live up to Ralph Meloon’s incredible legacy. We love him and he sets a great example for us.

Ralph will soon be celebrating his 91st birthday. I know we all hope he has many more!
