This coming weekend is Father’s Day and, for the dads who are reading this blog entry, I hope you have an awesome day. It’s your day; enjoy it!

It is hard for me to comprehend that my father passed away 10 years ago this summer. My dad was the most incredible man I have ever known and I still miss him very much.

Family was very important to my father. I cannot remember one event I participated in while growing up for which my dad was not there. Every game, practice, school event, you name it – he was there. Spending time with his family was clearly my dad’s top priority.

I am not half the father my dad was but importance of family is one value of his that, fortunately, rubbed off on me. I love being with my wife and daughters and the more time I am able to spend with them the better.

The desire to enjoy time with each other is one reason boating has played an important role in my family for many years. I can think of no better way to enjoy a day with family than on a Nautique.

I have been on this soapbox before; I know some people think my opinion is biased but I REALLY believe that if families would spend more time boating we would have less of a family crisis in our country today. How else can you spend a day in such close proximity with your family and have everyone love it?

So, as you celebrate Father’s Day, I hope you get to spend a big part of your day aboard a Nautique.
